IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
I moved from the Mississippi Gulf Coast to the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 2002. I went to work for UPS for about nine years. However, all I could think about was BBQ and discovered I had a passion for it.
In 2011, I purchased my first off-set smoker and, eventually, joined the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association. After barbecuing for a couple large family gatherings, we purchased a custom built smoker with a Santa Maria Pit.
Also, in 2011, we purchased our first homebrew kit and brewed our first successful batch of beer, the” Honey Citra IPA”, which is our flagship. We fell in love with creating our own craft beer. After brewing with a 5 gallon system perfecting our beers, we upgraded to a 20 gallon brew system.
I told my wife I wanted to start serving good southern BBQ and Brew. She replied back with, “You should, Let’s do it.” and I have been in “brew-hog heaven“ since that day!!
