Sparrowhawk Farm is named for the small kestrels that hover over our farm’s surrounding fields. We began growing organic produce here in 2008 utilizing the areas adjacent to the barn.
In 2011 we provided fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs and eggs to a few customers in the West Hills. Later, we added walnuts, regular weekly delivery, CSA shares and opened our farm stand.
We are continuing the expansion of our growing areas and have added a propagation house. Weekly and bi-weekly CSA shares for Spring, Summer and Fall 2019 are now available. Our farm store, located inside our 1937 barn, will open this spring.
We are part of the Gates Century Farm, farmed and occupied by the Gates family since 1897. Five generations of farmers have grown crops on the Gates Farm / Sparrowhawk Farm.
