OUR STORY

Birkeland Farm is the result of the collaboration of sisters Lisa and Lynne to create a farm/ranch close to the metro Portland area in Oregon. We are located in Beavercreek, Oregon on a 70 acre cattle ranch. With the goal of producing and providing quality, humanely raised food for ourselves and others, we feel extremely privileged to be a local source of quality meat products.

With Lisa’s years of experience with horses & successfully competing in the Cutting sport, and Lynne’s experience in horticulture and a passion for nutritious & natural food, Birkeland Farm was established in 2014.

Starting with a small herd of Corriente Cattle and crossing with British Whites, they have raised sport calves as well as quality grass fed Beef. Recognizing the need to expand products, pasture raised Chickens as well as Farm made kitchen products have been added over the years. We do partner with local select Ranches that practice our same animal husbandry to insure a steady supply of inventory.

The Farm is named after Lisa and Lynne’s Norwegian born grandmother, the patriarch of the family, Josephine Louise Birkeland Moen. Birkeland translates as Land of Birches, of which none existed, but are being added one at a time…
