I am located in Beaverton, Oregon. Mauka Girl Creations uses seasonal, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible to make delectable jams and preserves. When I have an extra minute there is some crafting thrown in as well!

Mauka Girl Creations is based on a love of, and fascination with, food preservation. I use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible to make delectable jams and preserves. When I cannot source a main ingredient locally, I insure it is organic. Organic cane sugar is the only sweetener I use. My goal is to evoke a simpler time when food was straightforward and you knew where it came from. I want my products to be fruit forward so I only use pectin in the Orange Ginger Marmalade. This allows me to play with the sugar amounts to achieve that fruit forward flavor.

I AM OFTEN ASKED WHERE MY BUSINESS NAME CAME FROM. MAUKA IS THE HAWAIIAN WORD FOR INLAND OR TOWARDS THE MOUNTAIN. I GREW UP IN MONTANA, THE SPANISH WORD FOR MOUNTAIN. SO MAUKA GIRL CREATIONS JUST MADE SENSE TO PERFECTLY EMBODY WHERE I AM FROM AND WHAT I DO.
